Research Scientist III LC/MS -Contract - Lexington MA
̽»¨ºÏ¼¯ is seeking a dedicated and innovative LC-MS Analytical Scientist.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will focus on developing advanced LC-MS analytical methods for bioanalysis of various molecular formats. This role also involves maintaining lab instruments and supporting the team's knowledge through scientific literature updates and discussions.
Skills & Requirements:
- PhD or Master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry or other related disciplines.
- Superior laboratory skills in biological sample extraction, chromatography, and quantitative/qualitative Mass Spectrometry.
- Experience with bioanalysis of different molecular formats such as small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides and/or proteins.
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced research environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience with LC-MS-based ADME and/or bioanalytical assays.
- Familiarity with Analystâ„¢, Xcaliburâ„¢, MassLynxâ„¢ and other Mass Spectrometry data-acquisition software packages is preferred.
- Experience with GraphPad Prism, WinNonlin, Promass, or BioPharma Finder.
- Knowledge of guidance for industry bioanalytical method validation.
The Research Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Develop robust LC-MS analytical methods for bioanalysis of different molecular formats such as small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides and proteins.
- Implement high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metabolite profiling and identification platforms.
- Occasionally perform LC-MS-based small molecule biomarker analysis.
- Review complex LC-MS-based data sets and articulate findings to project teams.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments such as biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS.
- Contribute to the team's knowledge through updating scientific literature and discussions.
